Being an introvert is such a fun thing. You never want everyone looking at you but at the same time you don’t want no-one paying attention to you. Some good friends are all it takes for you to be content with your life but what if that’s overrated to you? Are you an introvert looking to break out of your shell? Wanting a change in the way you lead your life? Well, here you are, we have found some ways you can break out of your tough introvert shell for the better. Warning, it’s a tough journey ahead.
First, speak to strangers and we don’t mean to anyone literally. Ask your friend if they have anyone you could talk to and befriend you friends’ friend. It would be awkward at first as they are not actually your friends but as time and your personality mellows them down, we’re sure you’re going to catch some really good friends. If you prefer another method, we suggest you go to a mixer. These mixers happen a lot amongst college or university students and they’re popular during the entrance ceremony. If you’re feeling particularly brave that day, go for it and meet some people and who knows maybe your next best friend awaits you.
Do some crazy activities. If you’re always reading a book or playing computer games, it’s time to break out of your shell. Look for some diving course Malaysia and watch everything unfold. Do activities that make you feel empowered. Jumping off a 10-metre board just might be the thing you need to feel brave. If you can jump off platforms, you can surely meet some people. However, if you’re not feeling brave, you could always try meeting people via online games. There are many games where you can meet real-life people such as in Mobile Legends or in Clash of Clans.
If you’re done doing the first two steps, it’s time for you to avoid being alone all the time. The reason one becomes alone is because they’re always alone. To avoid being alone, find some restaurants or cafes that are popular and go there with your friends. If you’re that person who avoids going to cafes because you’re alone, that’s okay. Just bring one of your friends there and you’ll feel better. When you spend your time more and more with people, you’ll be inclined to know more about that person and become good friends with them. This will allow you to become more of an ambivert soon.
Finally, share your opinions. If you like to avoid giving your opinions in the name of avoiding conflict, you’re doing it all wrong. Opinions are not conflict igniters instead they provide a perspective of situations. If you have avoided giving your opinions, start sharing them so your friend or acquaintances can view situations from your perspective. It may seem daunting at first but you will get used to it sooner than you think.
Now that you’ve read all the tips and tricks needed for an introvert to break out of their shell, what do you think? Share these tips to a dear introvert friend you have so that they can take their first step into a different world. If you’re an introvert we would like to tell you to take one step at a time and do these tips with a friend so that you can become a better person that you are today.
