于今年一月份，大约在十五号，彭亨州多地，尤其低洼的地区都遭受了水灾严重的打击。许多房子摧毁，财务损失严重，许多居民都变得无家可归。由于受灾的区域都是乡村，因此面对这样的损失不比造成了村民的生活以及经济压力雪上加霜。因此文冬现任的国会议员代领了志工队一同参与了灾后清理行动。在行动中，黄德与志工团清洗了灾后现场，如搬离杂物以及清洗淤泥等等。除此之外，黄德也同也召集了数位无政府单位一同举办免费跳蚤市场，为灾民们得到物资上的援助。
这是黄德在他一生的生涯上最出名不过的事件了。由于莱纳斯为持有完整的核废物处理程序，因此引来了当地关丹的议员，傅芝雅，以及当地的关单居民感到不满，既担心核废物将会对附近的环境造成污染又影响居民的安全与健康。因此关丹议员以及党员一同号召了当地大批人马向莱纳斯抗议，禁止稀土厂的运作。见状的黄德加入了抗议行动中，并成功的带领团队苦苦地步行从关丹至吉隆坡。尽管路上遇到状况连连，黄德将抗议大队带到吉隆坡是为了关丹人民的健康与安全。抵达吉隆玻的目的就是要求联邦政府撤销对莱纳斯的稀土厂经营权，并且关闭稀土厂在大马的运作。
除了反稀土厂事件外，黄德也一同与希盟的议员处理猫山王的危机。猫山王的危机来之与一家公司，那就是皇家榴莲集团与猫山王农民们的榴莲土地纠纷。皇家榴莲为了增加利益，就设法将农民一生所栽种猫山王土地给收购。然而这样的作法简称流氓至极，同时违反国家所设立的土地法。不仅如此，皇家榴莲集团还将设立不公平的条件在于农民，因此点燃了农民们的怒火。黄德代表联署人士一同发表了对彭州政府的无能做出了批判与质疑，表示彭州政府应该保护着农民们而不是对付农民们。黄德也再三炮轰彭州政府是明显地与皇家榴莲集团进行了官商勾结才做出了这项行动。…
